First blog

I don't really know what I'm doing, but I'm going to see what this looks like. It's hard to understand if you have not seen a blog before. Why do people want them anyway?

  1. Hi Nina,

I don't know why people want to do blogs either. I would rather read a book or go out for coffee with a friend. (This is the second time I am trying to send this. We'll see if I can get this blog to you.)

  2. Hi Nina,

I use my blog as a centralized sort of online journal to keep track of various unrelated things...such as sources for patterns and wool for my rug hooking, design inspirations, photographs, music that I like, etc. It's a convenient way to put all of this "stuff" in one location where I can access it from home, work, cell phone, etc. When you discover a blog that you enjoy, there may be links to other sites that you haven't discovered yet. It's always interesting to see what other people recommend or enjoy! I can imagine you using your blog as a way of promoting Relay for Life events and other ways of advocating for breast cancer research and support. For example, here is the link to the Relay for Life blog: http://www.relayforlife.org/relay/blog
It's a great resource of information and I'll probably add it to my blog as a way to start tracking ideas for next year's fundraising efforts. Oh yeah, and here's the link to the Boone Co. 2010 Relay for Life blog: http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?pg=entry&fr_id=23828. I love the discovery that goes along with checking out other blogs!
